How to find an ebook?

SAMK Library has purchased thousands of ebooks from various publishers and service providers for students and staff.

The most important ebook collections are listed on this page. There are links on SAMK-Finna for course books and other ebooks. Use SAMK-Finna to find a certain ebook or browse the collections below. You can find freely available online publications on SAMK-Finna, Google or another search engine.

How to read an ebook?

Ebooks are available in several formats. You can often read the book directly on a web page or download to your computer as a PDF file. Some ebooks require a reader software to be installed on your computer.

EBSCOhost eBook Collection

  • login with your SAMK-ID
  • the ebook can be read online or downloaded
  • first create your own free account "My EBSCOhost" to download an ebook to your computer or tablet
  • the free Adobe Digital Editions software must be installed on your computer before downloading the ebook
  • the downloaded ebook can be used for a limited time

  • ebooks in various fields in Finnish and English
  • Haka login with your SAMK-ID
  • some ebooks can be read online, all ebooks can be downloaded

  • Ellibs app is needed on a mobile device
