The purpose of this thesis was to tell actual information about the challenges, prevention and treatment of medical healthcare crisis in seafaring. This thesis has a lot of information about seafaring and on-board medical healthcare in general. The questionnaire interview about medical healthcare crisis, which was carried out on-board M/V Link Star gives also a good glimpse of the fact, that on-board medical crises are quite common in the maritime industry.
