Login and your account

SAMK students and staff

SAMK students and staff log in with their SAMK-ID.

How to log in:

  1. Select Login.
  2. Select Haka Login.
  3. Login with your SAMK-ID.

Please contact the SAMK IT Support if the Haka login fails.

Visitors

By visitor, we mean you who are not a student or staff member of SAMK.

Visitors login with their email. There is no username and password.

How to log in:

  1. Select Login.
  2. Select Email (visitors).
  3. Enter your email address.
  4. If you want the browser to remember your login, select Remember my login. Remembering the login is based on cookies. If the cookies disappear, the login will not remain valid.
  5. Select Login.
  6. Check your email and follow the instructions. Please note that the login link is only valid for a limited time. Use the same device and browser to request and open the link. If you don't get the message, check your spam folder.

Your account

Selecting Your account you can access your personal tabs: checked out items and renewal, holds, fines, library cards, profile, saved searches and saved items.

Checked out items and renewal

You can see your loans and their due dates. You can renew any or all of your loans. Renewal does not succeed if there are requests by other customers, for instance. You can only renew a loan for a limited period.

Holds and recalls

You can see your requests and their availability status. The library will notify you by email when you can pick up the items. You can also cancel your requests.

Fines

You can see your outstanding fines. An overdue fine will be added to your account when you return or renew an overdue loan. 20 euros or more will prevent you from borrowing, requesting and renewing loans. You can pay online on SAMK-Finna or by card at the Pori or Rauma Campus Library.

Library cards

You will see your library card barcode. You can use the barcode at the SAMK library.

Profile

You can see your contact details. If they need to be updated, please contact the library.

You can change your email address you use on SAMK-Finna. This email is needed for scheduled alerts.

You can also set the alias that will be shown when you comment on resources.

You can export or import your data and delete your account.

Saved searches

You can see your saved searches. You can redo searches, set alerts and delete searches.

The searches you carry out are saved during the session at recent searches. To store important searches select Save.

You can get alerts when resources corresponding to a saved search become available. The alerts will be sent to your email.

Saved items

You can browse your lists of favourites as well as edit and delete them.

You can add the searched items to your own favourites by selecting the pin symbol. Items are first saved in All favourites. You can move or copy them to the list of your choice.

You can create new public or private favourites lists. The Public list link is the address of your public list.

You can share references by email and export them to a reference manager.

Log out

If you are on a public computer, always end your session by selecting Log out and close the internet browser.
